Pie Five Pizza — billed as a five-minute gourmet pizza concept — announced this week plans to build a restaurant in Danville.
While construction hasn't started, plans are to locate it at 114 Sandy Court, next to Bojangles’ off Piedmont Drive, said Kimberly Turman, a senior account executive with the public relations firm Champion.
Paresh Suthar first tasted Pie Five Pizza in Kentucky nearly three years ago. Now he's ready to bring a franchise to Southern Virginia.
“Danville is a growing community in the heart of Southern Virginia with qualities that make up small-town charm combined with the assets of a city ready to burst with excitement,” Suthar said in a prepared statement.
There are more than 250 Pie Five and Pizza Inn restaurant across the nation and world, owned by Dallas-based Rave Restaurant Group.
Pie Five Pizza offers unlimited toppings for one set price, according to its website. Those toppings encompass 30 options in addition to choices of sauce and crusts. The handcrafted pizzas are generally made to order in less than five minutes.
