J. W. Squire Co., Inc. first started in 1927 on Loyal Street by John Walter Squire after his return from World War I. At that time the company weatherstripped windows and doors, installed asphalt tile and inlaid linoleum floors, and venetian blinds.
The company grew and expanded their services into commercial venues adding acoustical ceilings and resilient flooring
