The Danville Office of Economic Development and Tourism (DOEDT) announced today that Dewberry has become the latest commercial tenant to locate at Dan River Falls, the redeveloped historic White Mill property at 420 Memorial Drive.
Dewberry, a nationally recognized engineering, architecture, planning, and design firm with more than 70 years of experience, has maintained a presence in Danville for nearly five decades at its Piney Forest Road office. The firm’s relocation to Dan River Falls marks a significant milestone in the city’s ongoing riverfront revitalization.
Kelvin Perry, assistant director of DOEDT, celebrated the announcement. “We are thrilled to welcome Dewberry into their new home and to recognize them as the newest tenants of this landmark development. Their move strengthens an already strong partnership and reinforces our shared commitment to building a vibrant future for Danville and the surrounding region.”
“With our long-standing commitment to Danville’s future, this move is more than an opportunity to work in a beautiful new space. It’s symbolic of our company’s approach to being there for the long haul and supporting communities,” says Brian Bradner, Dewberry senior vice president.
In recent years, Dewberry has played a key role in several transformative Danville projects, including the Danville Visitor Center renovation, River District Tower redevelopment, the Southern Virginia Megasite, the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, the U.S. Navy Regional Training Center, and multiple school construction and modernization projects such as Arnett Hills Elementary School and the J.M. Langston Campus.
The DOEDT continues to actively market the remaining commercial space at Dan River Falls, which offers a unique opportunity for businesses seeking a modern location within one of Danville’s most iconic historic structures.
