United Way’s Day of Action brings volunteers to Danville Riverwalk Trail

Volunteers helped pick up trash along the Danville Riverwalk Trail and remove weeds from a pollinator garden Saturday as part of the United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County’s Day of Action. The worldwide nonprofit organization technically hosts it on June 21 since the first day of summer holds more daylight hours than any other. The goal is to bring volunteers together for a community project.
