Photos: Danville Veterans Day Parade reflects on sacrifices, celebrates contributions

Danville hosted the annual Veterans Day Parade on Sunday afternoon along Main Street. “Our veterans have given so much to protect our freedoms, and this parade is a small but significant way for our community to show our respect and gratitude,” Danville Mayor Alonzo Jones said. “Every veteran deserves our deepest appreciation, and gathering as a community to recognize their service is one of the best ways to show it.” Jones is a veteran of the United States Army. Danville City Council member Sherman Saunders, who also served in the Army, said. “This parade is an opportunity for us all to reflect on their sacrifices and celebrate their contributions to our country and to Danville.”
