Pledges for the United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County remained steady year over year, but the organization’s leader is hopeful that with the region’s economic growth — especially with continual teases of landing a large employer at the Southern Virginia Mega Site at Berry Hill — the contributions will expand.

BLOOD DRIVE: The United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County will host an American Red Cross blood drive from noon to 4 p.m. May 29 at the United Way's office located at 308 Craghead St., suite 102E.
DAY OF ACTION: The United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County's Day of Action is planned from 9 a.m. to noon June 22 as a project to clean up the Danville Riverwalk Trail. More details will come in coming days on registration information.
