Wiffle for the Way draws teams to battle in Danville

It's a natural instinct to take off to first base after hitting a ball. But that's not how it works in this game. Instead of running the bases, little green men stand guard in wiffle ball. On Saturday, the United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County hosted its second annual Wiffle for the Way fundraiser at 2 Witches Winery & Brewing Co. Starting early in the morning to beat the heat of a hot Saturday, six teams battled, all while raising money for the nonprofit.
